Today I’m sharing a story from one of my best friends in the world. My sister. I have been begging Hannah to write her weight-loss story forever. If you know her she is extremely shy (the friendliest person ever) but super shy! So her writing this is a big step out of her comfort zone. Thanks Han!
For as long as I can remember the following has been my favorite bedtime story.
I went to the thrift store the other day and for the first time in a longggg time-I shopped for MYSELF😎 I have a boutique so usually when I go I’m focused on getting stuff for the boutique. So it was so fun to shop for myself. I found this dress for $1-and a whole bunch of other stuff😱 It’s super comfy! I love the dress buttt im thinking i might want to repair it a little. I don’t know…we’ll see.
Ryan and I were talking the other day how we’d be content if Luke was the only child God ever decided to give us. It’s true!!! I mean obviously if we have other kids..it’ll be different in a good way!:) i had a dream the other night that we were having another kid and I woke up crying cause I kept thinking “Nooo! I still have so much I want to do just us 3!”haha
I can’t not stop laughing at Lukes face in this picture. haha We had to hand him an ice pop to hold just to get this picture!
My husband & I were married July 2016 in my hometown in the U.S. Then, we moved to the Philippines August 2016 (where my husband is from).
When I started this new blog, one of the main desires I had was to bring more attention to Christ and what He is doing in my life and in the lives of others. I wanted to bring more attention to His name. One way he showed me I could do that was by sharing other peoples stories of His hand in their lives. So I began to ask God to bring to mind people that I could have write for my blog that HE KNOWS their stories would be an encouragement to others who read them.
When I found out I was pregnant I began to wonder so many things. Like “WHO IS HE GOING TO BE LIKE?” In our relationship I’m the outgoing one. I like to be crazy, meet new people, smile at everyone and talk, talk, talk. Ryan is super friendly but he’s alot more normal than me:) I often get told “you are crazy, Abie!” I am starting to think that side of me was definitely passed down to Luke. He is seriously so outgoing.
Nothing special about this outfit other than I felt so comfortable. I always hear bigger people say when they try on things “Ahhh this makes me feel fat”. Yet when I try on something and say “This makes me feel skinny”, I get told to “Shut up!” haha But it’s trueee. Just like some clothes make bigger people feel fat, there are clothes out there that make skinny people feel too skinny!!
Two weeks ago our family took a mini vacation to Davao City. It’s about three hours from where we live. Shorter depending on who drives. 🙂 It was nice to get away for a few days and just relax. Luke really enjoyed it.
